Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how StratusLog processes information for flight school operations, including scheduling, flight logging, student management, billing workflows, messaging, integrations, and support.

Information we process

  • Account information such as name, email address, role, school affiliation, authentication identifiers, and support contact details.
  • Flight school operational records such as students, instructors, aircraft, schedules, lessons, flight logs, endorsements or notes entered by the school, and training-progress information.
  • Billing and payment metadata such as invoice/payment-link status, payment processor identifiers, transaction status, and school-managed balances. StratusLog does not need to store full card numbers.
  • Communications metadata for service-related emails or text messages, including opt-in/opt-out records, HELP/STOP handling, delivery status, and support messages.
  • Technical information such as device/browser data, logs, security events, IP-derived metadata, and diagnostic information needed to operate and secure the service.

How information is used

  • To provide the StratusLog service to flight schools and their authorized users.
  • To support scheduling, flight logging, billing/payment-link workflows, account administration, notifications, security, backup/restore, and customer support.
  • To comply with legal, security, fraud-prevention, App Store, telecom, payment, and operational requirements.
  • To improve reliability and product quality using aggregated or de-identified operational data where practical.

Student and school responsibility

Flight schools are responsible for having appropriate authority, consent, and legal basis to enter student, instructor, aircraft, billing, communication, and training information into StratusLog. Schools remain responsible for aviation compliance, record accuracy, student consent, safety decisions, and local regulatory obligations.

Sharing and processors

StratusLog shares information only as needed to operate the service, support customers, comply with law, or with customer direction. Processors may include hosting/database providers, payment processors, email/SMS providers, calendar integrations, support tooling, backup/storage vendors, and security/diagnostic services.

Choices and requests

  • Users may request access, correction, export, or deletion through their school administrator or support@getstratuslog.com.
  • SMS recipients may reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help where SMS is enabled.
  • Cookie and optional tracking choices are described in the Cookie Policy and Cookie Preferences pages.
  • Certain records may be retained where needed for security, legal, aviation-record, billing, backup, dispute, or legitimate business purposes.

Security and retention

StratusLog uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate for a SaaS product, including authenticated access, school-level access controls, encrypted transport, backups, and production operations controls. Retention periods vary based on customer configuration, backup cycles, legal requirements, aviation/business records, and support needs.
